Spock Robot
Have you ‘Spocked’ anyone yet?
Spock is a people search engine where you can search by name or by a tag such as post grad, hates broccolo, olympic medal - or any other tag you could think of.
After many simple searches for people I knew or knew of - and receiving a number of links, sometimes so many it was impossible to go through them all, I decided to Spock someone I’d met recently.
Do you remember Billy Mills, the 1964 Olympic Medal Winner in long distance running? He’s a member of the Lakota Tribe and, at a convention I attended in September, was a wonderful motivational guest speaker. He was my choice to Spock and I found much more than I knew about his life and achievements at http://www.spock.com/q/Billy-Mills.
There are photos, and tons of information about Billy Mills, the Lakota tribe and the Olympics and I could add my photos of him and add tags as well, such as ‘motivational speaker’.
Give the Spock Robot some work - he’s a cute search engine spider and his job is to search the internet for people and organize information around them. He makes it simple to find people in the news, celebrities, famous people, everyday people like you and I and you may voice your opinion by voting for or against a tag.
Sign up, log in and you can upload pictures, add tags (one of Spock’s tags is “Hates Privacy” - haha - perfect - his job is to share information!) and help shape the way the world will see and find you! You may claim your search results to determine your tags, as well as share your knowledge and add content to results. More importantly, you will be informed when news is posted about you.
If you’d like to find a real estate agent in a certain area, Spock him. Want to know the latest on Paris Hilton? Spock her! Stay in touch with friends? Spock them!
So, who are you going to Spock? An old school friend, a former roommate, a long lost rich uncle, everyone who likes maple walnut ice cream?
Don’t forget Spock and me when you are successful in finding that rich uncle, okay.
