Don’t Hide Your Entrecard

Are you dropping your Entrecard on 300 blogs every day? Everyone has their own system and I’m trying them all, choosing the best suggestions, and developing my own list to maximize my efforts.

After I click, ‘drop yours’, I click through to the site advertising on that Entrecard to not only visit a different site, but to decide if it meets my criteria. It’s a simple way to find new Entrecarders - giving them a visit and me something new to read.

If the site loads fairly quickly and displays the Entrecard above the fold, I bookmark it under a special heading, placing 10 sites in each sub-folder (my computer is slow and crashes if I open too many sites at once). When I wish to visit the sites to drop my card, I scroll to the bottom of the sub-folder and click ‘open in tabs’. I give them a couple of minutes to open, click on the first tab and drop my card. If the ‘thanks’ pops up immediately I hit Control W to close the site. I learned that little trick from Turnip of Power! If the ‘thanks’ is taking a few seconds, I hit Control Tab to go to the next tab. After visiting all the sites, I close all the tabs with one click on the X.

Sites which have the Entrecard below the fold go into a different set of folders under a secondary heading. I will visit these sites after visiting the quick ones, but once I have my list of 300 sites bookmarked, they will rarely receive a visit from me.

I try to visit everyone who visits me, every day. What goes around, comes around. I also find new Entrecarders on the ‘campaign’ section of my dashboard - again adding them to my folders.
