What’s Rube Goldberg Got to Do With It?

I love adding new widgets to my sidebar – especially if they are GREAT additions which save me time, make life simpler and provide a needed service.
Owen, from Ask Owen gave simple, simple directions for adding an RSS feed widget which shows ‘recent Entrecard droppers’ to your wordpress sidebar. You may choose to display up to 10 links. I added the widget in under a minute! Then I opened the links using ‘linky’ and dropped my card on all ten in no time. I can do this throughout the day and visit everyone who drops on me! Awesome – Owen is very good at sharing his technical skills! Anytime you have a question, drop by his site, ask and he will answer your question and share it on his blog.
Now, what’s love Rube Goldberg got to do with it? The first entrecarder I dropped on had an interesting ‘How Commerce Works diagram on her site which MADE me google Rube Goldberg. I ended up watching so many crazy contraptions and wasted my morning away, now I’m going to be late for an appointment! That’s what Rube Goldberg’s got to do with it! I can blame him for his intricate, intruguing, amazing time-wasting designs.
Take a look at this home-made contraption – what creativity and fun. Wouldn’t you hate trying to live in this home with this geeky guy? The mess would drive me nuts!
Wow it’s rare that anybody blogs about my blog. Should I apologize for distracting you from your entrecarding or be happy for you finding some fun stuff. Anyway I love BC especially the naked beaches at UBC where my kids saw a naked man wandering around one day and their only comment was “Did a shark get your swimming suit, Mr.?”
