Dot Com Pho Lunch with JohnChowDotCom

When I spoke with John Chow and his lovely wife, Sarah, at Blog World Expo 08 in las vegas nevada they both invited me to attend one of their Dot Com Pho lunches in Richmond.

I read John’s Twitter about today’s lunch this morning and decided to go to meet them. Richmond is only 20 minutes away so off I went. Lunch was at Pho, a Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Richmond. The parking lot was so full I had to street park.

John, Sarah, Rob, Ray, Ed Lau and Wolfgang were my lunch companions and we spent an enjoyable hour and a half getting to know each other, eating AAA Beef Pho and taking photos.

I used the XShot Drew from BenSpark.com gave to me in Orlando at IZEAFest. John was using his as well. Here is a group shot at lunch.

Do you know you can play Texas Hold ‘Em on the iPhone? Well, I learned something new today and now I think I need an iPhone. Not only is it loaded with games, inexpensive to connect to the internet through Rogers, but Rob assured me operation of the phone is simple to learn. Oh, you can make phone calls on it too and send and receive email. My absolute favourite option with this phone is drinking virtual beer!

That looks like great fun! I wish I could have been there!

Hi Heather,

I’m coming from John Chow’s blog where I just watched the Dot Com Pho video.

Great website you have here. I haven’t been to B.C. for many years, but I have a lot of family that lives in Vancouver.
