I was feeling a little guilty this afternoon, after reading Ted’s post of a very successful Week 1 of his ‘Fat Kid Health Plan’. I know I don’t get nearly enough exercise and neither does Hugo!

Ted motivated me with his 22 miles of running and healthy eating plan, so we walked the dike. It’s about a mile and the sun was shining and life was good in the fresh air. We ran into lots of people to sniff and say hello to, other doggies who were taking their masters for a walk, people on bikes, playing tennis and golfing.

We always stop to smell the flowers, but this time Hugo smelled more than I expected. He stuck his head under a bush, then got down on his belly and nearly disappeared… wiggling back out with the ball of yellow rope in his mouth and a grin as big as a dinner plate!

He soon had the rope ball unravelled so we put it in a corner of the garden where the gardener might find his long lost rope! OR… perhaps it will still be there next time for Hugo to find again…

We’re both happy campers after our walk. Hugo is napping and I’m about to start looking for my passport so I can drive to Blaine tomorrow to pick up the mail.

Awww, what a cutie! I was thinking that you could use that rope on your boat (the one I haven’t stopped dreaming about going on since BWE) but it’s nice to hear that you put it back for the gardener that obviously left it behind.

Aw, how cute. My dog goes nuts if he doesn’t have his daily walk. Small dogs have too much energy!

What a beautiful dog! My husband wants one like that, but we have a kitty, so I’m not sure how that would work out…
