Every four years I watch the Winter Olympic Torchbearer’s running so proudly, representing their country and passing the torch until one athlete runs up the steps and proudly lights the official Olympic flame.
This year, Vancouver is host to the Winter Olympics and I hope to see that amazing event in person! More than see it actually, I hope to BE one of the Torchbearer’s!
I am applying to take part in the Torch Relay through Coca-Cola’s Canada promotion.

If you are chosen as one of the 6,760 entrants, the next step is to write a ‘story (between 200 – 220 words long) about how you Live Olympic on the Coke Side of Life’. Your story may include information on your lifestyle, your community involvement, your environmental contributions or simply how you inspire ‘green living’.

Back in 2002 when the Olympics were in Utah the torch ran through our small town. The principal was able to run it right down main street along with an older gentleman in the town. Oh how I wanted to be the one who ran that. It would have been a really special opportunity. I hope that you are selected to run the torch cause that would be awesome.
ReplyBeing an Olympic torchbearer is definitely on my bucket list. I haven’t missed watching one since I was a kid.
