My friend Lisa from My Thoughts, Ideas and Ramblings
taught me how to use StumbleUpon to great advantage and I’m going to share it with you. Shhhhhh…. don’t tell Lisa, okay? You know how, if one bird tells another pretty soon there’s a whole flock of them!?!

First you need to install the StumbleUpon Toolbar as a Firefox add-on.
Write your post and click on ‘I like it’ in the toolbar. Don’t be blind like me and miss the ‘Quick Submit’ option on the top left of the pop-up screen, although you can do a complete ‘Add a Review’ if you like.
Now, here are Lisa’s directions:
On the Tool bar you’ll see an idea cloud that says “info”. Click that.
Click “your home”
Put your mouse over the image of the post you want to share with your friends on stumble upon. You’ll see and arrow and Share come up. Click on the arrow.
A toolbar should come up now. You can either hand pick who you want to send to or pick all. Click “share now” and you are done!
This option will email the post to all your contacts. If you stumble their posts when they send you an email, no doubt they will stumble yours
I’ve found I sometimes get hundreds, even thousands of Stumbles if the post is fabulous, like this Bald Eagles in Homer Alaska post.

ReplyCan you believe that Ben Franklin wanted the Turkey to be America’s national bird? The Bald Eagle is so much cooler.
ReplyNo doubt this is a good way to get traffic. but this is only for temporary. We should be active in stumbleupon if we want to have continues traffic. Am I right?
