My friend Murray Newlands, who is one of three nominees for the Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Awards ‘Best Blogger’, is an affiliate marketer you may wish to get to know!
Murray has been blogging for less than a year, but has come a LONG way in that short time. He enjoys talking to people and knows the right questions to ask – and he listens to the answers. Many of the people I introduced to him have learned a great deal about interacting with other bloggers by talking to Murray.
Through Murray, I’ve met a lot of people as well when we attended the same conferences. Eric Schechter and I met in San Francisco at ad:tech in 2009. Eric is the Social Media Manager for Clickbooth and he writes their blog. I could write pages about Eric’s fabulous blog, but you can drop in, take a look and leave your input on his poll asking about blog content. Be sure to take note of how his blog design changes color from the early morning sunrise skyline to the starlit night skyline!
Now, where I was going with this post was to tell you about Murray’s Fan Club. Murray is full of great marketing ideas and is on his way to the top of the Big Dog Blogger pile. I totally recommend you join his fan club by posting his badge on your sidebar, like I’ve done, linking back to his site:
Murray wants you to print out a picture of him and take a picture of yourself with his picture. Now, there are some hilariously, cheeky pictures on his fan club page, including one of Eric Schechter which I think is awesome. It certainly shows off Eric’s zany sense of humor! I think Eric should stay with his own talk, dark and handsome look, don’t you?
I’m seriously looking forward to spending time with Murray and Eric at Affiliate Summit West 2010 in Las Vegas, baby!
