Being this close to the Manatees was amazing. At last – here is a video of our 52 foot Bayliner being loaded on the PAC Athena freighter in Port Everglades, Florida.
Watch the ray of sunlight the camera picks up – to me, it looks like an alien space ship is focusing it’s beam of light right over the boat!

Crystal and Hugo drove to the Hyatt Hotel where the tender was to drop Kent and I after our boat was loaded. They found a nice outdoor bar at Pier 66 where Hugo was welcome and received much attention. It turned out they waited nearly 3 hours so it was just as well [...]

We’re confirmed to load tomorrow on the PAC Athena at 1500!
And, we are all ready – the supplies on the boat are packed away, our bags are packed and after we put away a few last minute items, defrost the fridge, freezer and icemaker we’ll be ready to load.

Three and a half hours each way was too long a drive for us today, so we didn’t go to Orlando. It would have been fun to visit Disney World but that will have to be in a future trip!
