Hurl A Squirrel

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

Hugo enjoyed unwrapping his ‘Hurl A Squirrel’ on Christmas morning and we enjoyed watching him. He was more fun than the kids ever were!!!

Unfortunately, he chewed the toy to shreds before 10 am, so I didn’t give him the ‘Chuck A Duck’ to unwrap.

I thought the toys would be so much fun to play with - especially at Egmont where I could throw them for him to fetch, but they are NOT Terrier proof. They’re both going back to the Pet store for a refund.

Luckily, it’s the thought which counts… and Hugo loves me for who I am - not what I give him :)

I just dropped by Grandma’s blog to say hi! I’m ‘Grandma sitting’ while Grandpa is away hunting and my Mommy is at work! We’re having fun playing with my toys.

Take a good close look at my barbell! Am I the cutest Boston Terrier or what?

No, no - I mean really close!!!

… with his Mommy. I’m so sad to see him go and will miss him and his warm little body cuddling up to my back at night - under the covers. He’d heave a huge sigh and be sound asleep in seconds. Can you imagine me allowing a dog on the bed, never mind in the bed?

Yes, I do need my own dog - you are absolutely right! Bossy Bully (where Hugo was born) has a new litter of Boston Terriers and they are oh, so cute. Kent keeps saying NO to the idea of our own little poopy doggie but I know he’d love him/her and he’d soon get used to taking the dog ashore in the dinghy every few hours. I know he likes taking Hugo for rides in the dinghy! He’s always been a ‘dog person’ while I’ve always been a ‘cat person’. Hugo made me become a real live ‘dog person’. Who knew? Certainly not me - if you’d told me 5 years ago I’d want a dog I’d have said you had a screw loose!

See little Jacob - he’s the one on the left in the top picture in case you can’t tell the panda from the dog - he’d fit the bill. Hmmm… Winlock Washington isn’t that far away. I could have him home and living with us before Kent gets back from his hunting trip. Hmmmm…
